Ecological playful landscapes, events and experiences is what I live for.

I co-design, plan, project manage and research for all age play & playfulness in urban and rural locations and for commercial, public and community projects.

Over 25 years experience in participatory, inclusive urban realm & play space design, planning and building projects.

Current practice

Outdoor Playspace Designer, Lecturer & Doctoral Candidate, PhD Programme in Humanities, Sport and Educational Science at the University of South East Norway,

STUDIOTASSY was established as an interdisciplinary ‘home’ for the diverse collaborative design practices encompassing playgrounds and play spaces, festivals, performance art, community events, architectural and landscape artworks and educational projects by artist, designer & researcher, Tassy E. Thompson.

Tassy practices as an outdoor play space designer, an academic researcher, editor and peer reviewer and university design & innovation lecturer.

She is a PhD candidate at the University of South Eastern Norway with a doctoral research project on outdoor play, landscape and ecology.

Community festival of light and art. Co-creator, as part of Elvelangs i Kongsberg Steering Group. Elvelangs (Riverside) Kongsberg is a non-commercial, volunteer-led, grassroots, light & arts festival created to celebrate the diverse cultural life of Kongsberg, Norway.
